。。it was not that easy to communicate with English speaking people coz I had never had enough experiences to do that. だって、毎日英語を話すって環境も初めてだし、before moving to the US, I had never chatted with people in English for more than ninety minutes !!! yeah, the ninety minutes was a time period the english class I had in Japan lasted for, so ...

Excuse us.

I was in a restaurant sitting at a table with my friend, actually we had a kinda long argument... we spoke in English ね、、で、、when we were about to leave, of course we needed a check, so i wanted to call a waitress and said "EXCUSE US"... the waitress had never came to our table till i corrected it by saying "excuse me" ....

that sounds very funny now but at that time i thought that was a right way to say.... because i was not alone !! hahaha

はじめまして!about my"失敗"story,
when i was in england, and it's been almost 2monthes since icame,
i was in a canteen at the school as usual, and i ate my lunch with some friends, and one friend came to us with his plate, and asked me do you mind if i sit here? and i immidiately said "Yes!! of course" with all my love like, you see what i mean? and my friend was totally freezed! because he was denied sitting there by me! but i didn't mean that i don't want to him to,in my mind was like this"come on! sit here! and let's eat together!!" Yes, i answered in Japanese way!!
in Japan "ここいいですか?"”

after all i explain that mistake, and we laughed and ate lunch together!
"はい"”いいえ”の使い方に最初はとまどったもんでした(笑)
まんまんまん☆、

you can basically write in any languages, but i would encourage you to do it here in English because we speak/write and read in Japanease in our every day life, especially if you are Japanese and living here in this country.

Bazooo, ohhh you said yes to that question!!! sounds very bad, hahaha, but yeah i know that and i did the same mistakes several times, i guess before moving to the us... evern after that. i know thats one of the difficult things for japnese "English" learners ...

in my case, i went to california for the first trip to the us like 10 years back, my english was so poor at that time and i was sitting on a couch alone and there were other sofas around. a lady asked me probably like "is this sofa occupied?" or something like that, then i said "yes" - but i MEANT "YES, you may sit there" !! hahaha, that was a totally wrong answer!!! I actually explained to her i didn't mean it, because she stood near the sofa for more than thirty seconds so I thought i did it wrong way.. after all she understood me and she said she was an English teacher. thats why she easily understood how i made such a stupid mistake !!
yeah i see, when he read it (past), you had already left for meeting up your friend, so it should have been in a past tense. that's a different style from ours, yes.
Its nice community isnt it?
Im Yuri.I also wanna talk my 失敗story。

When i stayed in Aus,i went to restaurant.thats really ellegant atmosphere, and expensive ..
I was really tense, and i supposed to say to waiter「Could i have a serviette(ナプキン)?」 but i said 「Could i have a souvenir?」 お土産?!!! the waiter was surprised and 固まってました with his big eyes... and my fr big laughing....
I corrected it soon, but soooooooo ashamed....
Hi, ゆり、welcome aboard :-) that must have been very embarrassing moment !!! by the way, isn't it inappropriate to ask for simply a "napkin" at a 5☆-restaurant ?
yeah, exactly..
when i worked at cafe, every customer said"serviette".i asked the manager about it,he said "napkin means a sanitary's one, you'd better to say serviette here!"
Aussie use British Eng,so i often confused.

my eng is terrible,
ゆり、dont worry about mistakes, but it was not メール, it was a comment written here, hehe.

You worked at a cafe and the manager told you to call a napkin serviette, sounds like a French word to me. I have never heard it before, because I have never been to a nice restaurant, hahaha.

Actually, I make mistakes and typo a lot, we cannot avoid it especially because English is not our mother tongue.

You made some mistakes in the last message, by the way, so as you requested, let me correct one of them for you :-)

Confuse, is a verb meaning 困惑させる、とか悩ませる、something like that. so if I say

I confuse you.

I am confused.

I was often confused.

It was like a mistake you say "I am interesting", instead of saying "I am interested". we should always think 誰が、何をするのか、何をされたのか、yeah it is confusing, so you can get confused !!

I is confusing, so
we are confused !!

Make lots of mistakes and correct them, and try not to make the same mistakes, then your English will be getting better.
I was confused!
なるほど、same as interested,bored,surprised etc!!

Id like to write something here again! Thank u so much!!!
Sure please, come visit here and leave many comments as possible ! If you don't mind i can correct a mistake you may make. And to others, please correct mine too :-)
