初めて聞いた時was from JANICE at the 第一回バイリンOff会。
The second time I heard it was昨日、ＴＶのニュースで。
ほいで、一番最近はI read it somewhere in S&B's 日記 today 。。。。

WTF is 「ニート」？！！

いや、I know the meaning now やけど、いったいwhere did the word
come from???　　
誰か知ってる？Any ideas?

日本の trendy words 難しいね。
Not in Education, Employement or Training の頭文字をpick upして、NEET に or ニート if you prefer。You know the 意味。
I discovered this 最近。

It was named in 英国、日本では半分of unemployment are NEET. That's a lot!
What I think about this situation is こだわりのある(起業したいとか）人と諦めている人がいる。
when someone try to ソフトウエア開発＠自宅toka but not workingは、count as NEET だよね？
I had that NEET time a while ago too but I needed really.
だから今フリーで働いたりできてるもん。
So I take this word 肯定的 not only 否定的.
Honestly I feet that オトナが社会不適合のガキに向かって言ってるような。
In that way, media is not doing what they've got a do as usuallll! Coz this must be nutral word,いいとか悪いじゃなくて。

ってゆーか、then why don't they write NEET instead of ニート?! 発音出来るからって略したものをカタカナにするな！！

例えば、I mean, you never see NAFTA as 「ナフタ」やろ？
アホみたいやろ？
Or JICA as 「ジャイカ」

ま、I guess the exception is スマップ。笑
これ、結構見るよね。

If you 言うニート, it sounds more 格好いい、かな？あと if you 見るNEET、some 人 will 読む it as ネート…　誰 knows?
日本語 and 外来語 have a 長い curious 歴史。
たとえば、アベック…　It comes from 仏語 but has nothing to do with the 本来の意味。In 仏語, it　ただ means "with"、日本語で「カップル」…　But 何で？！？
Really 変よ。
SMAP? あれ’s very 簡単!
Selfish Mysterious Androgenous Parasitesでしょう。あれって常識、common senseよ。（笑）
