本日届きました。
前々から「出る」と噂されていたGo Westとしてのニューアルバム、
発売日が遂に決定したようです！！

The hugely anticipated fifth Go West album will be released on 30th June 2008 and it already promises to be possibly the best work ever by the Band, surpassing even the inimitable Indian Summer. With Peter Cox and Richard Drummie writing together to produce some fantastic new tracks the album takes Go West back to what they have always done best; guitar driven Rock coupled with intelligent lyrics and of course the enthusiasm for musi that marks out the work of Messrs Cox and Drummie; this album is not to be missed and as the release date approaches more information will be added here...bring it on.

って、もうすぐじゃないすかぁ〜〜〜
現時点ではジャケット写真と発売日が発表になったのみで
まだ詳細は明らかになっていませんが・・・これは楽しみですね
最近はライブの情報ぐらいしかネタが無かったので本当に嬉しいニュースです。
発売までオフィシャルHPの動きを見逃せません！！
また何か動きがありましたらご報告させていただきます

プロデュースはGo West自身。Mixは旧友Gary Stevensonが担当。
全10曲収録の内、3曲は既発曲でした・・・。
5曲目の「Glow」はPeter Coxのソロ2枚目『Desert Blooms』(2004)に収録済み。
9曲目「All Day, All Night」と10曲目「Hangin’ On For Dear Life」は
ライブ盤『The Best Of - Live At The NEC 』(2001)に収録済み。
それぞれ新たに録り直ししたテイクではないようです。
なので、全くの新曲は7曲ということになります。
ですが、9曲目「All Day, All Night」はシングル盤でリリースされているRadio Mixが収録されていました。
『The Best Of - Live At The NEC 』収録のものよりちょっとだけピッチが早くて
メリハリ効いたバージョンなのでこちらのバージョンでの収録は大賛成
その他の7曲ですが・・・
今までに無い生音な仕上がりにちょっと驚きました。
シンセ類がほとんど目立つこと無く、バンドサウンドを重点に置いて製作したのは明らかです。
既発曲の「All Day, All Night」が唯一昔のGo Westっぽい音でしょうか。
でも、曲は良い曲が揃っていますので安心して下さい
曲のクオリティーは期待以上のものがありました。
全盛期のような大げさなシンセ音が無くても十分楽しめる内容だと思います（笑）
このコミュに入っていただいてる程の方ならきっと間違いないと思います
皆さんの感想も是非お聞かせ下さい。
こんな機会、滅多にあるモンじゃないですから(^^;
