This person should be a team player with a focus on superb customer service. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor in performing all telephone functions. The ideal candidate must be able to sell American Airlines' product in a persuasive, efficient and effective manner.
Reservations Representatives sell American Airlines' service to prospective customers by answering incoming calls and assisting customers in reaching satisfactory solutions to their needs. They apply sales techniques while providing schedules, fares, and flight information to our customers in a manner that meets the standards of high customer service as outlined in the basic training and call handling guidelines. The operation of the computer terminal and the standard PC keyboard is required. All functions are performed within specific time standards that are based on the average work times of fellow employees.
Training:
An approximate 7 weeks of paid training will take place in Cary, North Carolina at the South Eastern Reservation Office (SERO).
You will be trained to answer both Domestic and International calls.

REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED; possess valid state driver's license and the legal right to work in the United States; the ability to work a variety of shifts assigned by seniority according to operational needs. (This includes nights, weekends and holidays.)
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. You must be fluent in Japanese.
