W: What do you know about Japan? You're in Hawaii. A lot of Japanese in Hawaii. You know much about Japan?
A: As far as the culture or... umm.

W: Impression. When I say Japan or Japanese, what are your impressions? What do you think?
A: The reason why I was interested in Japan first off was because, I found this really cool magazine called Fruits. Yeah, it's a fashion magazine, and I was blown away by the Japanese ability to make, like... Their style is out of this world. It's like futuristic or something. They can make themselves into totally different people. It's really cool. So I like the fashion. I think of futuristic design, when I think of Japan. Of course that's not all, you know, but, that's what appeals to me... mostly.

W: Did you buy Fruits (magazine) outside (Japan)?
A: Yeah, in uhh, where I'm from, Anaheim. At a Tower Records store.
W: That company makes three magazines. Fruit and Street.
A: Yeah, I've seen Street.
W: You've seen Street. Ok, so you know. Cool. Do you know how to say Hello or Good Morning in Japanese?
A: Ohayogozaimasu? Does that mean good afternoon or good morning?
W: That's good morning.

She was "blown away" by the Japanese style. That means "amazed".

Q What country do you think has the best / coolest fashion?

For me... I would probably say England, especially London. I love the street fashion of London.
