Rub-A-Dub Market is a "Tokyo -original-raggamufin-group" which consists of 3 members: composer/selector (e-mura),and MCs (Ja-ge and MaL).
Although Rub-A-Dub Market uses 80’s and 90’s dance hall reggae as base, its music style is not Jamaican, UK, nor the ordinary Japanese reggae.
Rather, it has been creating its own reggae art from the 21st century eclectic Tokyo culture.
Rub-A-Dub Market made sessions with many artists from abroad, such as Congo Natty (Rebel MC), NICKODEMUS (Turntables on the Hudson),
Fredelic Galliano(FRANCE), fermin muguruza(SPAIN), JAHTARI(GERMANY), Mad Professor, Mungo's Hi Fi, Daddy Freddy, General Levy, Macka B.
It has released 5 albums in the past, including the song remixed by Rob Smith "Computerize It", which became a massive hit. In 2005,
Rub-A-Dub Market has established its own label PART2STYLE, and released the E.P. "Bubblin'".
Rub-A-Dub Market plays free-form dance music on a various stage performance, such as the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, and draws massive crowds.
Recently, the band is working on live acts (drummer : Izumi Matsui, guitarist: Nisi-p) , DJ, music production, and preparing for its new release.
