Cool. As I left a brief message under the other topic, I was about to take you as someone else who I was in MATH 110 and 120 in Douglas...
Some of my best friends of mine have been living just off near Steveston Hwy and Railroad; therefore, I always visit them every time I visit Canada.
You reminded me of a day spent in Steveston on Canada Day several years ago...
Watched a parade in the afternoon, visiting the community centre for events and salmon lunch, then fireworks at night. I really had lots of fun there!
Just curious that festival takes place every year...
So, where about in Richmond/Steveston you have been living?

Greets! Funny that you mention Steveson Hwy and Railway. I lived *right by there.* Maybe a 5~10 minute walk from the intersection. Small world.
Canada Day at Steveston is great, I go there every year. The salmon bake, carnivals, lots of people and fireworks in the evening! When were you there?
Wow... kewl. Came up with the name of intersection because I had to know the closest bus stop to pay my friends a visit:)
I remember I got lost around ther because I did not follow my friends' instruciton "a block south, a few blocks west" by doing stupid shortcut walking through condos around there!
Thanks for reminding me of the events in Steveston!
Yes! The salmon bake and many other activities were held there... the last time I was there for Canada Day was back to the year
Hello there Justin!
(and no I never went to Wreck beach, sadly...*LOL*) The people are so wonderful, as well as the scenery, and might I add.. the FOOD! Man, that was amazing.
Hey there Rei!
You're right about the food! I really love the food there. There are tons of cafes to check out and all sorts of restaurants to eat at. I really miss that.
I really love the scenery in Vancouver too.
Your blog entry made me envious you've had the best "Canada Day Party" over here in Japan.
Give me a shout if you are throwing an another party next year: I will do my best to show up (and if I say I do it, I usually make it happen *grin*)
The picture is a picture from a bulding near Pender, looking towards Stanley Park. The view also sort'a looks like Yaletown doesn't it? Yaletown is a pretty nice place to hang out.
I'll let you know the next time I do a Canada Day party in Sendai!
But despite that, Sendai is a pretty nice place to live. I like the people and nature here.
