This is sodi, director of radio program "Nanmin Now!" "Nanmin" means "Refugee" in Japanese.
We started this radio program in 2004 at Kyoto sanjo radiocafe (FM79.7MHz) to discuss social issues of the world. We're especially interested in the issue of refugees. So we have been cooperating with UNHCR.
Currently we are trying to help Japan to recover after the earthquake and tsunami, nuclear that struck the northeast of the country on March 11.
By interviewing NGOs working in the stricken area, We hope to convey their "voice" and to bring the people in need over there and other people's " sympathy that they want to do something " in other areas together.
And now, we try to broadcast multi-language. So we are looking for volunteer stuff to transtate our articles. (2-3min.for reading in the radio show/2or3times in a week). We intend to keep on making this program long-term. If you are curious, please send me your message directly. Thank you.
