Why the Japaness 量詞 is so irregular??? for example: いっさい ひとり(いっにん NG) いちまい(いっまい NG) よーじ(よんーじ NG) よんぷん(よふん しふん NG) It's very difficulty for the foreigner people, can you tell me how to memorize it? Is there any rules? Best REGARDS ben
Hello from Ammar.I am studying Japanese. Japanese pronounciation is very easy compairing to other languages, however, there are some rules we should understand to speak japanese. for example,
no stress on ま .So, Japanese do not say immai.Instead, they say ichi mai.
no stress on に. So, dont say innin. Instead, hitori.
you can stress さ . so dont say ichi sai.Instead, you say issai.
when you stress は, it shoud be changed to pa. So, Japanese dont say ichi hai, instead, ippai.
when you stress ふ,it is although changed to pu. So,please dont say ichi fun, instead, it should be ippun.
same for ひ.dont say ichi hiki, instead, you have to say ippiki.
for ほ it can be changed to po or not, that is why you hear that Japan is NIHON and sometimes it is NIPON.and for Japanese people,NIHONJIN or NIPONJIN.
sorry for long message. I hope I could give some idea.
