On behalf of JBM and Dark New Day we are very happy to announce that work on the upcoming album is now complete. Mastering of the album took place last week. Talks between management and the label are now taking place in Los Angeles where important topics regarding the album and band are being discussed. Everyone is very excited about the future release of the album and we thank you for all of your support. Please keep checking back for important updates! An announcement will come shortly regarding a release date for the album.
Hope everyone likes this new tune. Yes, it is in fact from the new album. So, rumor, speculation, anticipation, etc., seems to be on a lot of peoples minds. I will not say anything accept this........................Happy Easter! O.K., not really, I mean Happy Easter, no doubt, but let me just say this- there will be an announcemnt, I mean announcements, over the next couple of weeks that I really believe will make any Dark new Day fiends very happy- this I promise. I titled this post "Be Quick or Be Dead" for a reason which I think as these announcements are made people will understand. But, you must check in to our myspace page everyday or you might miss the important stuff- thats the "Be Quick" part. Trust me, when it happens, you wont wanna miss it, because who knows how long you’ll be able to grab cookies from the cookie jar. We love you guys and your passion for the music. Because after the rumors, speculation, labels, lawyers, he said, she said, blah, blah, fucking BLAH, its about the music, and you, the loyal DnD tribe that have never lost sight of that! God Bless and Happy Easter, because- "even someday, death may die".- Will
Well as most of you know I have rejoined with my bros in Sevendust. I’m beyond excited about sharing the stage with them and being apart of they’re world again. First things first, Sonny did a unreal job with the guys and I’m sure I will share some of the pressures of filling his shoes as he did so sucessfully filling mine and then some. I respect Sonny and love him and wish him the best because I have no doubt he will continue success in what ever he does. I won’t get into how this all came about, I will only speak for myself. For me this is a great chance to play with a band I owe my career to and went through everything with for many years good and bad. When you spend that amount of time in a band you form a bond that’s not easily broken. Time has past and I believe nothing in Gods world happens by mistake.
I’d like to address the fans both 7d and DnD. You have all truly been so amazing and really make me remember why I do this. For some this will be hard to understand. All I can say is that I will do my best to be a solid member of 7dust and give you back what you give to any of us who play music. My brother dreamt up what would eventually become DnD. We wanted to play together and to do that with Troy, Brett and Will was a dream come true. I truly believe that we did what we set out to do and that was simply to make music together. Corey and I will always continue to make music together. I wish all the guys the best and love them more than words can say. And I pray that the record we did will see the light of day especially for the people who waited so patiently.
Being back in Sevendust is truly a very exciting time for me and I feel like it will be a very positive thing. I love the records they did while I was gone and actually look forward to playing those songs more than the ones I did with them. I look forward to writing new music with them but for now I want to do my part in supporting the incredible music they’ve created and just be the guitar player. Sevendust is way bigger than any one person, it has a supporting fan base thats rabid and I love all of you because I have been one of you for the past few years. Just another person who loved Sevendust from he outside. Now I’m back in and I promise I will bust my ass to do the job Sevendust deserves.
God Bless everyone and see ya on tour!!!!!!

Allllrighhhhhhhhht!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So first, sorry for it being so long for the update, but lots going on. Heres the short version. We would like to announce the addition of our new guitar player BC Kochmit to Dark new Day!!! For those who know who he is, you know why we sought him out, hes the perfect combination of Troy and Clint. BC is a bad bad man and we're honored to have him on board. For those who dont know, BC was the guitar player and songwriter for Switched and most recently Rickets. I met Brad while I was playing with Tommy Lee and Switched was out with us for that tour and Ozzfest. Thats when I knew someday I gotta play with that guy!! Corey did a brief stint in Switched after that tour, and thats where the bond between those two started as friends and songwriters. They penned the track "Who Feels" on the last Switched record (which we also recorded but didnt release for our 1st record). Brett Hestla will also once again (and this is awesome too, Bretts a BAD ASS guitar player) be picking up the guitar. Those that saw Virgos Merlot know what Im talkin about!!So thats that. We're streamlined and ready to fuckin kill it! We're looking at doing some shows in August so stay tuned.
As for the record, lots going on, but alas, nothing I can talk about. Yes we're going to get it to you soon, but we gotta let some things play out. So in the mean time, heres two new songs to dig on.
"I Dont Need You" was one of the first songs we demoed for this new album and recorded on our own. It WILL NOT be on the new album. "Fiend" is also a demo version that will not be on the new album that we recorded with our buddy Rick Beato. Its a rough mix, and it is one of three versions of this song that exist. All versions are very different. Some lucky people got to listen to the 3rd and album version yesterday when we had it up for a few hours, so you guys will hear the difference! In about two weeks, we'll put up the second version for you to check out. Just a little glimpse into how we work and try to constantly evolve until everyones feelin' it. The idea here is that we have enough of this stuff to put out three records, so between now and when we sort out this new album stuff we're going to put together a series of online albums that feature all of this unreleased stuff!! Look for the first instalment to be available in about 6 to 8 weeks. Between now and then we'll keep giving you guys a little taste of what will be on these three albums. This is by NO MEANS going to be your typical "B sides" release. This shit kicks ass and its far from "B side" material!! WE fought and argued because we wanted all of these songs to come out. Tons of really cool stuff, so get ready!!!
Our plan live is to play some of the 12 Year Silence material, some of this demo shit that we love, and some tracks from the soon to be released new album. So keep checkin' in and as soon as we have some ligitimate info on the new album status we will let you know, but this new stuff should satiate the appetite for some new DnD stuff. We love this shit and know you will too, thats why we're putting it out!! Thankyou all so much for the love, support, and good vibes. We cant wait to finally let you hear and see that we have in fact been a very WORKING and ACTIVE band over the last two years. Stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!
