There is an interesting article on sencond page of Financial Times from Dec. 9 about free trade talks between South Korea and the US. For South Korea it is not only going to be the entrance one of the world's largest markets, but it also will support reforms that are critical to bring Korean second largest asian economy to the next level.
Currently, Korea is the 7th largest trading partner for the US with over $70bn a year. It is estimated once the free tragrade agreement will be finalized it is going to rise by $5.4 bn (12%).
How is going to relfect US domestic economy? What are the US benefits, Korea for years has been very reluctant to US goods import. How is Japan going to react?
