Hi everybody,

I just wanted to say sorry for being out of touch. I'm now in Thailand --
enjoying a life of spicy food and cold beer by the beautiful beach!!

The other day, there was a big earthquake in Taiwan, and it cut the telecom
cable that allows Thailand to connect with the international Internet.
So until yesterday, it was almost impossible to connect. So if I missed
any posts, ごめんくさい :)

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed a nice Christmas with somebody special!
And all my best for a happy, healthy and successful new year. Thanks for all
the contributions to this new community!!!

Hi, Mike!
I'll go to Taiwan to meet my friend in Jan. I was so surprised at the earthquake coz that happened near her town and a city where I will visit!!
She told me that she was ok and the airport wasn't damaged.
I hope that nothing happens during staying there!

Thanks! Although now it's getting worse -- Here in Thailand, about an hour
ago, 6 bombs went off in Thailand. At least 2 people were killed. I'm OK
and nowhere near those areas, but why do people have to do shit like this
on new year? I'm guessing it's the islamic separatists in the south again.
How can people have such a low value of human life? Not good! Yoku nai!
Mai dee! Anyway, even in the face of all these earthquakes and bombs,
happy new year!

Hi 下子! Actually, I'm still in Thailand. I was in Bangkok for a few days,
then I came down here to Pattaya just before the new year. So as I'm writing
this, I'm sitting in a nice cool beach breeze, looking at blue-green ocean
waters, and enjoying a coffee. I wish it were summer ever day around the
world. I love it!
