Today, I write a topic for the first time.
I write about Christian Riese Lassen. Do you know him?
He is an artist. He was from California. When he was 10 years old, he immigrated to Hawaii. He was charmed sea, dolphin and nature. He was interested to draw a picture after childhood and study by self-education. He major in a subject of art system in the days of a senior high school and develop an original style and pencil.
He begins to announce a work as a painter from 1976 and establish a position as Malin art painter. On the other hand, he plays an active part as a professional surfer and a professional windsurfer.
By Honolulu marathon of 1989, he was in charge of official poster production. Any place other than U.S.A., he work on that he holds an exhibition in Japan.
He deals with image art of "a clean ocean campaign" of the United Nations in 1992 and is famous as the ecology artist who devotes passion to pro-environmental activity.
Lassen established an environmentalist group in 1990 and cooperated with an environmental problem of each country. Japan took contribution at time of Fukui offing crude oil outflow accident. From such activity, Honolulu City established March 2 with "on a day of Lassen”.
When I was a primary schoolchild, I watched a picture of Lassen for the first time. From the time, I came to like a picture of Lassen. I went to look when an original picture exhibition of Lassen came near my house. I went in a picture show of Lassen when I went to Hawaii.
Lassen's picture heals a people. I think that he can draw a beautiful picture because Lassen watched Hawaiian sea and dolphin and nature since the days of a child.
I want to become the human who can heal a person like Lassen.
