A succinct, disturbing and, to this reader at least, not altogether surprising discussion of the extent to which the Bush administration has insisted on adherence to extreme right wing evangelical Christian doctrine, even when doing so has required the adoption of policies that are demonstrably incapable of achieving their purported objectives and the appointment of personnel who lack the experience or competence (or, in many instances, even the inclination) to perform the functions of their respective offices. "Intelligent design" is just the tip of the iceberg.
