フレーズブック、教科書などで学べる単語・表現は限られてるし、言い方がおかしいときもあります。ネイティブじゃないとどんな状況でどんな単語・表現を使えばいいと判断できない。
フレーズブックと教科書では一つか二つの言い方しか載ってない時も多いから、あるシチュエーションを勉強したはず何のに実際にそのシチュエーションになると使ったフレーズブックと教科書と違う単語・表現を言われればわからなくなります。
ですから、日本語のネイティブと英語のネイティブがお互いに手伝いしましょう！
ネイティブはすぐわかるからいくつかの文章を直すのか違う言い方を加えるのが5・10分もかからない。その代りにフレーズブック・教科書に載ってない単語・表現、また使い方、ネイティブの説明をいただけます。
下記一つの例えです(^_^)。
出国 - Outward Journey / Departure / Leaving [テーマ]
このターミナルどちらですか? (ターミナルの番号を指しながら) Where is this terminal? / How can I get to this terminal? / Can you tell me how to get to this terminal?
出国手続きはどちらですか?^ Where is immigration?|
窓側の席がいいです。 I'd like a window seat. / Can you give me a window seat? / I would prefer a window seat.
通路側の席がいいです。 I'd like an aisle seat.
出発はいつですか? What time is departure? / What time are we leaving? / What time are we taking off?
この航空会社のカウンターはどこですか? Where is this airline's counter? /
3番ゲートはどこですか? Where is gate 3?
このゲートはどこですか? Where is this gate?
この便の搭乗手続きはもう始まっていますか？ Has this flight begun boarding? / Have they begun boarding?
何時に到着しますか? What time are we arriving? / What time will we arrive?
手荷物はいくつありますか? How many pieces of hand luggage do you have?
それは手荷物で持ち込みたいと思います。 I'd like to take this on with me as a carry-on. / I'd like to take this on board with me. / This is my hand luggage.
これは壊れ物です。 This is fragile.
重量超過料金はおいくらですか? How much do you charge for excess weight? / How much is extra weight?
フライトは定刻どおりですか? / 定刻どおり到着しますか? Is the flight on time? / Will we arrive on time?
この飛行機は定刻通り運行していますか? Is this plane on schedule? / Are we on schedule?
この便は出発が遅れています。 The departure of this flight is behind schedule. / The departure of this flight is running late. / We are running late. / The departure of this flight has been delayed.
事故のため、1時間ほど送れます。 Due to an accident, we'll be an hour late. / Due to an accident, we'll be delayed an hour.
こちらは免税店はありますか? Is there a duty-free shop here? / Is there duty free here?
どちらにありますか？ Where is it? / Can you tell me where it is? / Which way is it?
免税品の機内販売はありますか? Are duty-free goods sold on board? / Do you sell duty-free on board? / Is there duty-free on board?
