One of the most encouraging facts of life is that your weakness can become your greatest asset.
人が 生きる上で 最も勇気づけられる事実の一つは、其の人の 弱さ が其の人の 最も偉大な宝 となる!と云う事である。

Kites and airplanes rise against the wind.
正月にあげる凧や、毎日 空を飛んでいる飛行機は 風に逆らって 昇っていく。

In climbing up a high mountain, we need the stony crags and rough places to aid us in our climb.
高い山に登る時、石がゴロゴロしている道は 私達が 足を踏みしめて登っていくのに 必要である。

So your weakness can become an asset if you will face it, examine it, and trace it to its origin.
私達の弱さが、もし 私達が其れに 直面し・省察し・其の 根となるモノを 掘り起こす事が出来れば 素晴らしい宝となる。

Set it in the very center of your mind.
其の宝を 日々の思いの中で 大切にしよう。

No weakness, such as drinking, ever turned into an asset until it was first fairly faced.
飲んでしまう と云う様な コントロール喪失の欠陥は、先ず其の事実を 明らかに 直面するプロセス を通らなければ 宝には ならない。

Am I making my weakness my greatest asset?

今日の黙想

Whenever we seek to worship God, we think of the great universe that God rules over, of creation, of mighty law and order throughout the universe.
神 を崇める心を 持ちたい!と思う時、私が存在している 此の偉大な宇宙に 目を向けるとヨイ。此の 計り知れない創造・全てが 秩序良く息づき活動している 事実は、神の支配無しでは あり得ない。

Then we feel the awe that precedes worship.
此の事に 気づく時、其の 人知を越えた 偉大さに 畏怖を抱き、崇める心が 湧き出る。

too must feel awe, feel the desire to worship God in wondering amazement.
私も 畏怖を抱き、此の不思議な 驚嘆すべき 偉大な神を崇めたい。

My mind is in a box of space and time and it is so made that I cannot conceive of what is beyond space or time, the limitless and the eternal.
私の心は 時と空間の箱の中に在るので、此の箱を越えた 無限と永遠を 確認する事は出来無い。

But I know that there must be something beyond space and time, and that something must be the limitless and eternal Power behind the universe.
しかし、此の 時間と空間を越えた何か!が 在る事は 知覚でき、其の何かは 此の宇宙を支える 無限で永久なる 叡智である筈だ。

I also know that I can experience that Power in my life.
更に 私は 其の叡智を 私の生命の中に 知覚する事が出来る。
