& Oneness Blessings
August 17th 6.30 p.m.

Contribution: $25 (to cover materials)

We will experience the clearing and healing powers during a sacred fire ceremony - also known as Homa - and receive Oneness Blessings afterwards to promote manifestation. The evening includes a potluck with light snacks.
The fire ceremony is "Sarva Aishwarya Puja".
Puja is a ceremony, showing respect to a chosen God or Goddess, to bring about both spiritual and material benefits to the community while removing obstacles. During the PUJA a protective shield is built around the participant to safe guard them from any further evil states.
Sarva Aishwarya Puja is to receive the blessings and grace of Goddess Para Sakthi also known as Universal Mother. This Puja is one of the most powerful for World Peace and Prosperity in various aspects of life: Education, Career, Marriage, and Business without problems of health or wealth.

Please bring flower pedals and a chair and / or cushion to sit on; we will be outside. Puja is followed by oneness blessings, music and light snacks (please bring your favorite evening finger food, such as hummus, cheese cubes, veggies, sushi, nuts etc.)
The requested doantion is $ 25 to cover costs of herbs, sacred oils, flowers and prasad. Space is limited to 20; please RSVP early.

Auspicious Day to renew the Spiritual Journey
Aug 17 is the day Sun enters to the LEO Sign. Its also considered the beginning of a New Year, in ancient texts. It is considered a very auspicious day for spiritual aspirants in India , to start the life of Bramacharya and get Gayatri Mantra Initiation from spiritual teachers.
It is also believed that this was the day in which education as a concept began. Following the creation of the world - it is on this day that Brahma, the first being, was supposed to have learned the Vedas from the Lord of Knowledge - Hayagriva - thus becoming the first ever student.
Havans also bring in high energies - thereby empowering positive thoughts, actions and resluts. They help re-vitalize the three energy states of our body (Vata, Pitha, kapha) and help maintain energy balance. During the havans, the divine cosmic energies flow through the body of the participant and cleanses one of negative energies and destroy negative samskaras. The positive energies therough you affect a change in the outside world.
Also noteworthy is that the Harmonic Convergence was a loosely organized new age spiritual event that occurred on August 16 and August 17, 1987, when groups of people gathered in various sacred sites and "mystical" places all over the world to usher in a new era. It also marked a time in astronomy when a number of planets in our solar system came into alignment with one another.
The Harmonic Convergence was supposed to be a global awakening to love and unity through divine transformation. The Harmonic Convergence was (according to Arguelles) to be the end of these "hell" cycles and the beginning of a new age of universal peace, as supposedly foretold in Maya prophecies. To supporters of the concept, the signs indicated that a "major energy shift" was about to occur, a turning point in Earth's collective karma and dharma.
