The Living Art Exhibition is Art Battles’ answer for New York’s emerging art scene, the current state of contemporary art, and the ever-increasing appreciation of street art.


Understanding the emerging artist's need for affordable studio space and adequate showspace, Art Battles has established The AB Study Group; a weekly workshop that supplies emerging talent with studio space, art materials, community, and the skill-set needed to live successfully as an artist in New York City.

On Tuesday June 9th, Art Battles moves in to Red Bull Space to curate The Living Art Exhibition. For two weeks, the SoHo studio will be transformed into a Live Art Gallery and Art Battles Arena.

The exhibition will run for ten days, during which eight live artists will be allotted gallery time to create their artwork for the exhibition. The public is invited to come observe the artists in progress and literally watch the Living Art Exhibition grow.

The top four artists, as voted on by critics and guests, will then go on to perform on stage at this summer’s opening event at Central Park Summer Stage.

Also, as part of the exhibition, the AB Study Group will have a special studio and showroom at the Red Bull Space to hold workshops, create, and present art.
