Dear Valys friends,
We are please to inform you that Mitch and DJD will mixes in the famous and one of the best organizer in Japan called Stargate.
This party is a revival party so you can expect to have more great event back in Japan with Stargate.
I am also proud to be now resident of Stargate with DJ Bin.
It is an honor for me to be part of the best undergroound party organization in Japan (for me the best and the people who know Stargate must understand me).
For this special event, I wanted to make a special mix as a prelude to this fantastic event:
This is my first mix for 2012;-)
A special present to make you listen what you can expect as sound from DJD.
Still mixed with the Vestax VCI-100 which has few issues with Traktor pro.

About Format:B
Format:B are Franziskus and Jakob. Jakob is a Berliner, from Kreuzberg to be exact. As all good parents do, his wanted him to play an instrument. After years of successfully dodging music lessons and his parents wishes, he finally at the subtle age of 15 decided that he desperately needed a bass guitar, which then through diligent practice manoeuvred him from hardcore bands to funk and jazz bands. But suddenly, there was a small problem: he liked Techno parties much better than rock concerts. So, as one does, he began buying the odd techno maxi here and there until one day little Jakob thought to himself: Why heck, I can do that too! So off he went and bought himself an overpriced Atari St40 and a cheap synthesizer, only to realize that oops those guys from Detroit really do know what theyre doing and that it wasnt that easy after all. Well, that is basically where Jacobs ambitiously planned out life suddenly took a screeching of the wheels turn in another direction. Franziskus is from Erfurt, a small and rural part of Germanys quite rough and wild East, which didnt stop him from starting piano lessons at the innocent age of 6. His musical interests took him from the usual suspects like Michael Jackson and The Pet Shop Boys through to Hardcore (obviously not on the piano). But then one day, or night to be exact similar to Jakob, all was to suddenly change.. A fortuitous night out at the legendary E-Werk in 1993, made this young mans heartbeat skip from Chopin over to a 4/4 beat where it was to remain, probably forever. Three years later Franziskus took up residency at the infamous Sub ground Lighthouse After hour, resulting in numerous further bookings. The paths of these two young men crossed whilst they were both studying to be sound engineers. Seeing as all the other students in there year were long haired Metal heads it was only a matter of time until their paths crossed. So, after spending a few long Berlin party nights together they decided to see if they could start a project together. And so the story ends or better yet, begins with Format:B

about Solead
Charles and Vincent are 2 producers from Paris. Their Solead project is a culmination of years of musical association.
Why the Solead project ? Charles and Vincent have a long-standing friendship, that has seen them collaborate musically in a variety of different styles and mediums from very early on in their careers. Extensive theoretic training gave way to playing guitar & keyboard in rock bands and finally gave way to electronic music production. After a successful career in a design agency, Vincent moved into music production with several successful solo projects. Charles also followed this route, with his background in cinematography still coming in handy in his current career as a Mastering engineer.
From 2000 onwards, between them as separate projects they have produced 4 albums and more than 80 tracks, establishing them as some of France’s most respected electronic musicians. The Solead project was created to combine their knowledge of electronic music production and to feed their love of music. Since beginning to work together again, they have become a favourite of DJs worldwide with remixes from the likes of Beauty School (ex E.M.F band), Deepchild, Moonbeam,Animaltek, and dancefloor stompers like 3rd Contact(released on Vitalic’s label Citizen), the "Mola" Ep played by Thomas Schumacher and Minilogue and reaching the top of the charts with the remix they did for Fingertwister of "I remember jah" on Chillosophy
