For our second session in June, Sub-Culture are proud to be hosting the pre-release party for Shanghai based beat-master Hamacide’s forthcoming Mighty Little Machine Remix LP, with very special guests Olive Oil, Popy Oil and DJ Zorzi AKA Oil Works from Japan!

Hamacide is the alias of Yusuke Hama, an Atlanta-born, New York producer/dj. Son of Japanese parents, Yusuke, like many Asian kids, started playing classical music at a very young age. Eventually quitting his classical music pursuits in his mid teens, he started playing in bands and making his own 4 track recordings.

After his debut release, Fascinating Tininess.., on Prefuse 73’s label ‘Eastern Developments’ in 2007 under the name LEYODE with fellow Brooklyn singer Laurel Wells, Yusuke released his first full length solo record in 2010 called ‘Mighty Little Machine’. Beautiful and, at times, bizarre, Mighty Little Machine is a collection of instrumentals and vocal-based songs with elements of hip-hop, classical folk, and bossa nova. Mighty Little Machine blends many styles of music but Yusuke's production keeps everything cohesive and making perfect sense. It is a carefully constructed record that flows seamlessly from beginning to end.

Later in 2010, Yusuke asked his friends Prefuse 73, Leblaze and Epstein to remix songs from Mighty Little Machine for a possible remix EP. Not until he met Himuro Yoshiteru in Shanghai, China did this idea become reality. Yusuke immediately fell in love with Himuro's music who then introduced him to Olive Oil and other amazing Japanese producers.

Joining Hamacide at this pre-release beat spectacular (Hamacide will be playing a full live set by the way!) will be one of the contributors to the remix album and Oil Works label boss - Olive Oil, along side the rest of the Oil Works crew - VJ Popy Oil and DJ Zorzi! Having worked with and remixed the likes of Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Killer Bong, KRS One and graffiti legend Futura, as well as being supported by the likes of Giles Peterson – the Oil Works crew bring nothing but pure heat with a full live visual and audio show! Throw in a live set by SIG and DJ sets by Drunk Monk and Shige and you’ve got one of the parties of the year! Don’t miss!!

缤纷六月，正是派对的好时节。作为本月的第二波主打，重音文化将非常荣幸的为长居上海的节奏大师Hamacide主持Remix唱片“Mighty Little Machine”发行前的预热派对，还有来自日本的特别来宾Oil Works也将到场助阵，他们是：Olive Oil， Popy Oil和DJ Zorzi！

Hamacide的本名叫做浜 雄介（Yusuke Hama），是一位出生于亚特兰大的纽约制作人兼 DJ。Yusuke的日本父母要求他像许多其他亚洲小孩一样，从很小的时候就开始练习演奏古典音乐。他最终在青春期的时候就毅然离开了古典音乐的范畴，开始参与到乐队中演奏并开始用四路音轨录制属于自己的作品。

2007年，Yusuke与布鲁克林歌手Laurel Wells以LEYODE这个身份在Prefuse 73的厂牌‘Eastern Developments’下发行了首张专辑 “Fascinating Tininess”。在2010年的时候，雄介发行了他第一张完整个人专辑“Mighty Little Machine”，整张专辑的乐器演奏和人声曲目集hip-hop, classical folk,和bossa nova元素为一体，显得美丽而光怪陆离。“Mighty Little Machine”融合了多种音乐类型，Yusuke的凝聚力和制作功力可见一斑。经过他的精心编排，优美的旋律犹如行云流水般紧密相接，绝对称得上是一张值得细细品味的力作。

2010年的后期，Yusuke邀请他的朋友Prefuse 73，Leblaze和Epstein为“Mighty Little Machine”remix EP的问世而合作，将当中的曲目进行混音再创作。直到他在上海结识了Himuro Yoshiteru，Yusuke在对Himuro的音乐一见钟情之后将他介绍给了另外一个了不起的日本制作人Olive Oil，在中国的这段经历立刻将理想变成了现实。

这将会是Hamacide的一场豪华节奏盛宴，Hamacide为预热派对准备了现场Live set的表演！Remix专辑和Oil Works厂牌的贡献者之一 Olive Oil，以及Oil Works团队的 VJ Popy Oil和DJ Zorzi也将前来助阵！Oil Works曾与Pete Rock和CL Smooth，Killer Bong，KRS One以及涂鸦传奇Futura合作，同时还让Giles Peterson赞不绝口。这次他们怀揣着满腔的热忱为上海准备了一整套的现场visual和audio表演！额外奉送上SIG的现场live set和由Drunk Monk带来的DJ sets,以及久违的Shige也来向Hamacide道贺，这样的阵容绝对没有理由不入选年度派对之一！早一点来卡位啊！
