サンフランシスコ、ジャパンタウンのレストラン『赤とんぼ』にて
東北地方太平洋沖地震支援募金パーティーを行いたいと思います。
集めた支援金はサンフランシスコ領事館を通して寄付する予定です。

参加費１０ドル（簡単な昼食含む）

このコミュの参加者にも日本へ何かしたいけど何をどうして良いかわからない
という方々がたくさんいらっしゃると思います。私もそういう一人です。
個々で出来る事は限られていますが、個が集まればグループになり、大きな力になります。

私自身も１９９５年の阪神淡路大震災で被災し、忘れられない体験をした一人です。
神戸の地震の時は東北や全国各地から支援者が駆けつけてくれました。
神戸でも政府からの支援が行き届き始めたのは数ヶ月経ってからです。
私も自身が体験するまでは正直、他人事でした。しかし、明日は我が身です。

今、寒い東北の地で不安な毎日を過ごしておられる方々が、老人が、子供が、赤ちゃんがいます。それは将来のあなたの家族や親戚やご友人かもしれません。

一人でも多くの方が寒さをしのげるよう。。。
一人でも多くの方に暖かい食べ物が届けられるよう。。。
一人でも多くの方に安らぎが訪れるよう。。。。
一人でも多くの方に笑顔をとりもどせるよう。。。。

I am organizing a monthly luncheon to collect donations for the victims of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of March 11th 2011.

I lived the earthquake of Kobe in 1995 and I have first-hand experience of surviving a traumatic event like this. This compels me to find ways to help the victims of this tragedy, and I am asking you to help too.

I plan to support the Japanese Red Cross: At the moment they are only accepting checks made out to "Consulate General of Japan", so please bring your checkbooks!

We will share a simple lunch much like the earthquake victims are eating at their camps (sorry, no sushi). There will be an entry fee of $10 at the door to cover for lunch, a portion of which will be donated to Japan.
