Hello! Are you coming to Fukuoka with your friends on what date in August?
No Yamakasa festival is held at Hakata in August, but there are more things that interest you very much here. Please come and enjoy your travel during that time!!!
If there is any chance, I will show you around Fukuoka!
I used to live in fukuoka but I had never seen the festival.
I was wondering if there was a sort of museum to see the dashi? stuff.
I have got the return tickes to come over to Fukuoka but my friend has not yet.
Two other friends are also coming to Japan but they will stay in Tokyo for a week and then they are planning to go to Okonawa for scuba diving.
I am telling them how wonderful Kyushu is, especially Mt. Aso and onsen there!! so they might come to visit me in Fukuoka and go to Kumamoto but depends on how much it costs...
I am arriving at Fukuoka on 1st August and stay for a while.
So I hope to meet you and also many people in Fukuoka.
Let me tell you about the sample Yamakasa floats and the Yamakasa museum. Those are situated in the Kushida Shrine where the Yamakasa festival has been originated for about 700 years. This shrine is located near Canal City Hakata.
I can show you and your friends around if you wish after you return to Fukuoka.
If you like to contact with me, please send e-mail to luckymentai@ybb.ne.jp at any time.
By the way, I would like to ask you and other guys some questions.
In England, it is very common to share the house (boy and girld mixed but we treat housemates as friends so do not have any problem as you think). Also it is very popular to stay with host families.
Some families ask to do nanny job or some cleaning job instead of paying full amount of rent or give discount on the rent.
This time, I will be in Japan for three months and planning to go back to England so it is very short to rent a flat as any estate agency agrees with minimum 6 months contract (with huge amonunt of commission and deposit!!).
I am wondering if someone knows any spare room or vacant room available to let up to three months.
I am happy to pay monthly and also can do some helps such as cleaning and shopping stuff.
Also in Europe, it is normal to have one month holiday so house owners look for someose to look after the house while the holiday.
I had a great time with my host families. We went shopping and parties together and they treated me as a part of family (but some of them just wanted to have provacy so in the case I had distance with them which is understandable).
If someone knows someone who has a spare room, lease give me the information.
I am a mature person and have commom sense.
I look forward to seeing you and many poeple in Fukuoka soon.
