今週は私のカルテットに加えて、中村誠一さん[http://saxphonetman.sakura.ne.jp/]（テナー）というスペシャルゲストを迎えてのライブがあり、ワクワクしています。ホレス・シルバーの音楽を２公演やります。ホレスは今でもカリフォルニアに住んでいますが、もう50年以上、ジャズ界のレジェンドとして崇められています。彼のバンドでプレイした多くのミュージシャンは彼等自身偉大なプレイヤーで、長いことジャズのスタンダードナンバーとされてきたホレス・シルバーの曲を演奏していたわけです。
This week I'm very excited to perform with my quartet and special guest Seiichi Nakamura [http://saxphonetman.sakura.ne.jp/] (tenor sax). We will be doing two performances of Horace Silver's music. Horace, who continues to live in California today, has been a legend in the jazz world for over 50 years. His bands included many of the greatest players in jazz history performing Silver's compositions that have been jazz standards for decades.


火曜日の夜は、日本で私が大好きなジャズライブハウスの一つである、池袋のケニーズバー[http://www.kennys.jp/]で演奏します。マスターはジャズライフやジャズの雰囲気というのを非常に良く理解してくれています。ミュージシャン達もここでやるのが楽しいみたいです。そこでは、いつもよりもっとクリエイティヴになれる気がするんです。私にとって、リラックスできて、雰囲気の良い場所で演奏するのは何より重要な事。７月にライブをした時は、たくさんのミュージシャンが飛び入りで一緒に演奏してくれて、本当に楽しかった。アメリカでのライブでは、だいたいいつもたくさんのミュージシャンが来て、一緒にやったり、つるんだりしていたので。
On Tuesday night, we will be playing at one of my favorite jazz clubs in Japan, Kenny's Bar [http://www.kennys.jp/] in Ikebukuro. Kenny really understands about the jazz life and atmosphere. Musicians always seem to enjoy playing there. I feel like I can be more creative in that room. For me, it's very important to have a room that I feel comfortable and and has a great "vibe". In July, many musicians came to sit-in with us at Kenny's. It was so nice! At most of my gigs in the U.S.A. , many musicians usually came by to sit-in and/or hang-out.

木曜日（28日）は、表参道のカワイピアノのサロンでコンサートをします。これは、洗足音大とカワイのプロジェクトです。このコンサートシリーズでの演奏者に選ばれ、みんな非常に嬉しく、興奮しています。当日たくさんの皆さんとお会いできますように！！
On Thursday (28) we will be performing in Omotesando at the Kawai Piano Salon. This is a project for Senzoku College of Music and Kawai Piano. We are very excited to have be chosen to play on this concert series. I hope to see all of you there!!!
