Pop quiz, hot shot.

--Where exactly does the word 'chuhai' come from?
--How many members are in WaT?
--What is the capital of Kenya?
--Who holds the NBA record for most points scored in a
game?
--How much alcohol can the average ALT consume before
s/he passes out on the cold streets of downtown
Sendai?
--What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Do you know the answer to any or all of these
questions? Well, here's a cookie! Yeah for you! What,
a cookie not enough for you? Perhaps you desire
something...more? How about fantastic prizes, real
western food, frosty Guinness, and glory that shall
last through the ages? Well, we have just the event
for you! Next Friday, the 24th, Adam Vaught, Richard
Shelley and Yours Truly (Brad Cole) will be hosting a
pub quiz at the Green Shamrock. Check out the details
below.

--What: Pub quiz to raise money for rural Cambodian
schools.

--Why: To exercise your brain, your liver, as well as
your global conscience. This March, Rich, Adam and I
will be heading off to Cambodia to take part in a PEPY
ride event ( www.pepyride.org ). We will be
volunteering at a K-12 school as well as cycling from
Siem Reap to Phnom Phen. The purpose of the trip is to
raise local/global awareness about education and
environmental problems facing Cambodia. Oh, and did we
mention there will be beer there as well as sa-weet
prizes?

--Where/When: Green Shamrock, downtown Sendai. 7-9pm
on Friday, the 24th of February. The Green Shamrock is
located on Tachimachi near the love hotel district.
From Sendai station, walk down Clis Road and take a
right on Ichi Bancho. Once you hit the Disney Store,
take a left (onto Hirose Dori). Walk past Kokubuncho
and take a right onto Tachimachi (the next main street
after Kokubuncho). Green Shamrock is on the left about
two blocks down. It's hard to miss.

--Entry: 1000 yen donation to the PEPY ride school.
Oh, and you'll also be getting a half price drink
voucher as well. Think of it as charity drinking!

--Team: 4-6 people, in theory.

SO! Gather up some friends, figure out a team name,
and drop me an email ( bradleyjcole@yahoo.com ).

I hope to see all of you on the 24th!
