僕が最も敬愛する師匠で、現在のイタリアのヴァイオリン界の第一人者であり、現役ヴァイオリニストではF.P.ツィンマーマンと並んで、ボウイングテクニックに於いても音楽性に於いても、現在欧州でトップにあると確信するヴァイオリニストのマリアーナ シルブ先生が、この秋、マスタークラスの為来日し、なんと、僕の開いたサロンでリサイタルをしてくださる事が決定いたしました
そのような方であるにもかかわらず、活動の中心が室内楽である為、日本での知名度は、欧州でのそれに比べ、必ずしも高くない事から、彼女のコミュニティも作っていて、僕が今、皆さんに最も知って聴いて頂きたい演奏家なのです。

ルーマニア生まれで、現在イタリアを代表するヴァイオリニストの一人であるマリアーナ シルブは、イタリアでは、ウーギ、アッカルドと並んでトップソリストとして知られていますが、一方でアカデミカ クアルテット、クアルテット ストラディヴァリ、ミラノトリオ、1992年〜2002年のイムジチのコンサートマスターなどのヴァイオリニストとして、欧州では室内楽の大家としてつとに有名です。
ミラノトリオではピアノのブルーノ カニーノ、チェロのロッコ フィリッピーニと、クアルテットではチェロのミハーイ ダンチラ等と活動しています。
欧州での著しい名声と比べて、日本では未だ知名度が十分とはいえない彼女の、素晴らしい表現センスと美しい音を知って愛して頂き、彼女の主催する室内楽アンサンブルの演奏を愛聴して頂きたいと思います。

Mariana Sirbu
Born in Romania, Mariana Sirbu received her musical training from her parents. She completed her musical education in Bucherest at the National Academy of Music where her principal teacher was Prof. Stefan Gheorghiu. Her concert career started at a very early age, and brought her virtually to every country in Europe and oversees. Mrs. Sirbu has been price winner at International Competitions such as "George Enescu" (Romania), "Carl Flesch" (London), "Maria Canals" (Barcelona), Vittorio Gui" (Florence).
Mariana Sirbu has appeared as soloist in all the most important concert halls in the world: Berlin Philharmonic, Opera House-Sydney, Musikverein-Vienna, Concertgebow-Amsterdam, Teatro Colon-Buenos Aires, Carnegie Hall-New York, Teatro La Scala-Milan, Suntory Hall-Tokyo, etc. She has recorded extensively for various Radio and Television Broadcasting in Europe, including the complete series of Beethoven's Violin Sonatas for the Irish National TV network, and in USA, Japan, Canada and Australia.
In 1968 Mariana Sirbu founded and led the Academia String Quartet, which won major competitions in Liege (1972), Munchen (1973) Geneva (1974) and Belgrad (1975), followed by tours throughout the world. For seven years ( from 1978 to 1984) the was RTE's resident string quartet. In 1985 she became the violinist for "Trio di Milano" with pianist Bruno Canino and Cellist Rocco Filippini, with whom she performs frequently in Europe, North and South America and Australia.
She is regular guest at famous International Chamber Music Festivals, where she collaborates with important musicians such as Bruno Giuranna, Richard Stoltzman, Antony Pay, Boris Pergamenscikov, Menahem Pressler, Franco Petracchi, Klaus Kangiesser, Reiner Kussmaul, Michel Portal, Peter Lukas Graf, Arnold Steinhart, Pepe Romero, Irish Chamber Orchestra, etc. In 1992 Mrs. Sirbu has joined as leader and soloist the celebrated Italian chamber group "I Musici" with whom she performs regularly all over the world and recorded numerous CDs for Philips.Since 1994 she is also founder member and leader of the "Quartetto Stradivari" group which is frequent guest of numerous Concert Societies and International Music Festivals worldwide.
After her graduation, she has been assistant teacher at the class of Stefan Gheorghiu at the Music Academy in Bucharest, she held numerous master classes in Spain, Ireland, Holland, Canada - Banf School of Arts-, France, Switzerland, China, Japan and Italy; she taught for several years violin and chamber music to post graduate students in the "Scuola di Musica di Fiesole" - Florence - Italy. At present she teaches violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelhsson Bartholdy” in Leipzig, Germany and she is visiting Professor at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance, University of Limerick, Ireland.
She has made several LPs and CDs for PHILIPS, DECCA, Schwan-Harmonia Mundi, Dynamic and UNICEF. Among her most recent CD releases are the complete series of Violin Concertos and Capriccios "L'Arte del Violino" by Locatelli, the Twelve Violin Concertos from "Il Cimento dell'Armonia e dell'Invenzione" and the "Concerti per Anna Maria" by Vivaldi, for Philips. Mariana plays the "Conte di Fortana" Stradivarius used by Dvid Oistrakh for much of His career.
