Keiji,
Good to hear from you. I’m glad you where able to do the transfer.
Hope you will try to come to our next ride in May or September of 2011. It would be nice to meet you (and your bike).
I am Lawrence’s Mom, so I have been riding for many years, since the mid 70’s. We rode street bikes in those days, but when the kids started riding dirt bikes, we did too. Since 1982 I always rode the Honda 200. Then in 2003 my husband and I bought the CRF 230’s and had them dual sported in Oct of 2003 before the laws changed to not allowing that anymore.
I never really did racing type riding, so the diamond routes at Hollister hills are too scary for me. I always rode the beginner and intermediate trails. We haven’t gone there for years, it’s so crowded.
Our Yosemite ride is not like that, I can ride all the trails, EZ and hard. The advantage of the CRF 230 is that your bike is light and small but still has good power, so you can ride circles around the big adventure bikes. My favorite ride is going though ‘Little Nellie Falls’ and through the back side of Yosemite on dirt roads. You could do all the dirt trails on our ride.
I am looking forward to meeting your friend.
Janet
