★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆ Halloween! Cocktail night ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Every 4th Sat is cocktail night. Come out to experience the infinite tastes of cocktails. If you have had beer you can attest that it has a limited number of flavors. Face facts, beer tastes like beer. So lets try new tastes & flavors.
We intend to make a menu of cocktails chosen by John Williams of Plumeria Bar fame or Dave Faulkmore your host from Kansai Friends. You might not find the simpler cocktails on the list, like Cassis orange or Malibu Pineapple. What will be on the list is any cocktail that has 3 or more ingredients or a sexy name like salty dog. The police has asked us to keep Gin Tonic and Bailey Milk on the list, so we don’t cause a riot ;-)
Beer will be at hand, we just won’t sell it to you! Wine & Champagne are OK. For those that don't drink, can order soft drinks or water.
Events are inexpensive and many foreign people and Japanese come. Currently getting around ~30-50 people / event. Plumeria Bar quickly fills up. Capacity is around 30 people. So arrive early to make sure you can get in.
The first cocktail nights party was a huge success. Not a big surprise. Learning how to make cocktails is fun! Especially if u have the chance to make ur own cocktail.
** (Almost) no alcohol was abused during the making of that event ;-) **
This month cocktail nights falls on Halloween.
Damn Japanese holidays always ruining everything.
What's worse is being the host, i have to wear a costume. Why can't Halloween be like in the old days where all u needed to bring was shaving cream and toilet paper?!
My 1st costume idea was to show up as insane. But that's not a costume and it's not that unusual in Japan. Reality is stranger than anything i could come up with.
Next idea is to show up as "China man". Already bought 3 packs of 30 clothes pins. I'd use the pins to attach all the pieces of Made in China crap i've collected during my 100 yen store phase. But then i thought people would think i was being racist (this message is approved by the Japanese foreign ministry of truth justice and sushi) instead of impressed by China being able to sell an ocean of worthless junk.
So needed to rework this idea. So now u know i'm impressed with China. Golf clap. Who else am i impressed with??
I admire only two professions: * sales guys * engineers that have made their own products
so decided to go as ....
** drum roll **
A "snake oil sales man"!!!!
Sorry engineers u can't dress up drudgery and spin it off as, "blue is the new red" ;-)
So come out and witness the making of "the miracle cure". Has been shown to be effective against most common maladies: infections, diseases, colds, drunkenness, virus, bacteria, acne, pregnancy, and skin rashes.
But wait
There's more
If u are not pregnant or drunk yet, learn to make "the miracle cure" and after enough of them. You'll be either one or the other ;-)
It's Halloween so if u are going to wear a costume this night would be a great time to do so. If not, don't sweat it. Just wear nice clothing. Guys no tank tops or T-shirts. Girls don't wear pants; u look like a dude!
