Showcasing diverse architectural memoirs of Japanese designers in London
文化の中心として様々な人種、宗教が交わる街、ロンドン。
その多種多様で奥行きのある環境のなかで建築教育、または建築の仕事に携わった人たちがいかにして、ロンドンにたどり着き、その場所を一つの交差点としてどのような経験をし、どのような人と巡り会いながら建築と関わっているのかを発表する展示会
個人の作品や、事務所の作品を発表するだけでなく、個人の様々な経歴や住んでいた場所などを地図などで視覚化し、それぞれを結びつける新たなネットワークとして ”Japanese Junction” が存在する。
London is one of the world's leading cultural centre with diverse population that draws from a wide range of people, cultures, and religions. Within this diverse cultural network, 20 Japanese designers educated and practicing architecture in London takes this opportunity to convey their unique backgrounds and inherent Japanese values both culturally and philosophically.
The Symbiotic relationship born between their Japanese distinctiveness and the influences brought by the British educational system as well as professional experiences can be witnessed through their exceptional works.
Japanese Junction exhibiting both in London and Tokyo offers a rare opportunity for both Japanese and international audiences to discover a true cultural exchange through architecture.
