Solar Eclipse 2012

On the 21st May there will be solar eclipse in Japan. A solar eclipse is when the Sun is partially or
totally covered by the Moon.
Have you ever seen a solar eclipse before?
Are you planning to see it on the 21st? What do you know about solar eclipses?
The Sun and Moon are very important scientifically and culturally.
What facts do you know about the them? How are they important in Japanese culture and in other cultures around world?
