Concept
Jazz〜Freejazz〜現代音楽からの先鋭的、現代的質感を即興演奏に追い求めるライブイベントです。
エレクトロニカ、アンビエントとも違う、研ぎ澄まされた音を、毎回、出演形態を変えながらシリーズで開催します。

ベーシスト、ヴァイオリニスト、エレクトロニクス奏者。1981年岩手県生まれ。７歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。大学在学中よりコントラバスを始める。その後ベーシストとしてriddim saunter、WAVE FLATSなど様々なバンドでの活動を経て現在はジャズや即興を中心に、畠山地平、Jimanicaとのトリオ、Doigakiとのジャズブレイクスユニット、ポップスのフィールドでも活動中。２００３年よりノイズ、ブレイクビーツによるソロユニット「effective dose」としても活動中。年内にeffective dose名義による1stフルアルバム、千葉広樹名義によるコントラバスソロとアンビエントアルバムをリリース予定。
A bassist, a violinist, an electronics player. He was born in Iwate in
1981. He begin a violin with 7 years old. He begin a contrabass during
university attendance at school more. While RIDDIM SAUNTER, WAVE FLATS
pass through the activity in various bands as a bassist, and even the
Hatakeyama Thihei, a trio with Jimanica, jazz breaks unit with Doigaki, the
field of the pop music are active mainly on jazz and improvisation now
afterwards.
From 2003, He is active as "effective dose" which is a solo unit based on a
noise and　break beats. He is going to release 1st full album by the
effective dose name, contrabass solo and ambient album by the Hiroki Chiba
name within this year.

アメリカのディープサウス、アラバマ出身。荒川区在住。 アメリカ南部の豊かな音楽伝統を呼吸し、ナイジェリアでドラムを学び、80年頃からエレクトロニック・パーカッションの先駆者として90年代中頃までニューヨークで活動、96年、東京に移住。その音楽性を常に変容し続け、聴衆を悩ませてきたシンガー・ソングライター／パーカッショニスト／プログラマー／インプロウ゛ァイザー。近年では実験エレクトロニクス歌ものユニットSKISTでの活動が注目されてきたが、2005年に２０年ぶりのソロ・アルバム「Secrets of Teaching Yourself Music」を Improvised Music From Japanレーベルよりリリースし、近々久々のソング・アルバム「How to Get from Gone to Here」を発表する予定。彼のパフォーマンスの中で様々な世界は混在・混交し、カラフルに展開されてゆく。
Samm Bennett's explorations in sound and rhythm are ever-changing and always interesting. Whether using drums and percussion, electronic instruments, voice, toys, gadgets, vibrators or whatever likely object happens to be close enough to grab, his performances continually surprise and engage his audiences. In addition to his work with drums and percussion, Bennett is also a singer and songwriter, with 3 releases out in the 90's on the now-defunct Knitting Factory label. His recent song performances around Tokyo have seen him working in an extremely stripped down format, usually solo, with simple drone and drum accompaniment for his folk/blues-esque material.

Constructing a musical universe from used instruments, electronic junk, field recordings and hardware tools, his diverse contributions to numerous projects reflect a bevy of influences, ranging from Appalachian mountain music to free-flowing drone and ecstatic improvisation.
His work on 'unprepared guitar' brings about images of rusty circuitry languishing in open deserts, contrasting with other projects centered on electronics-based noise-rock, or forays into distorted and stumbling sampler-based music.
Currently active in the improvising groups Tetragrammaton, Missing Man Foundation, Jahiliyyah and the avant hip hop unit FDF, he also has performed as a solo artist with distinctive artists such as Damo Suzuki, Yoshio Machida, Kelly Churko and Tetuzi Akiyama.
He also runs the soundispatch collective/label and organizes the Test Tone monthly free event at Super-Deluxe in Nishi-Azabu.
カナダ、モントリオール出身のCal Lyall(キャル•ライアル)は、東京で活動する即興のギターリスト／サウンドアーティスト。
ジャンク楽器、エレクトロ・パーツ、フィールドレコーディングやエフェクターなどから音楽的な空間を作る。彼の多岐に渡る活動は、アパラチア山脈の音楽から浮遊するドローン、恍惚の即興音楽まで、多くの影響を映し出している。彼のエレクトロ・ノイズ・ロックや歪み系サンプラーによる音楽のプロジェクトとは対照的に、「アンプリペアド・ギター」は、広大な砂漠に置き去りにされた錆びついた電気回路のイメージをもつ。
現在、フリージャムバンド「Tetragrammaton」、エレクトロ・アコースティック・デュオ「Missing Man Foundation」、ドローンプロジェクト「Jahiliyyah」、アヴァン・ヒップポップ・ユニット「FDF」に関わり、またソロとしてダモ鈴木、町田良夫、Kelly Churko、秋山徹次などの個性的なアーティストと共演。
また、音楽集団／レーベル「soundispatch」、西麻布スーパーデラックスで月一回のフリーイベント「Test Tone」を主宰している。

ドラム、エレクトロニクス奏者。79年、名古屋出身。jazzや即興を中心とした活動を行う。2003年、「Tsuki No Wa」のテナーサックス奏者、伊藤　匠のバンド、「Ryusenkei-Body」に参加し、2006年、１stアルバム「LS」（mao)をリリース。
これまでの主な共演者は、スガダイロー、伊藤啓太、Kelly Churkoなど。
ソロでは、生楽器の電子音化を基準とした演奏を行う。
A drummer, an electronics player. Masatsugu Hattori was born in Nagoya in 1979. he is resident in Tokyo now.
The main activity is jazz and an improvisation. From 2003, He participates
in "Ryusenkei-Body" which is a band of Ito Takumi, who is a tenor sax
player of "Tsuki No Wa". In 2006, 1st album "LS" (mao) was released.
He also has performed with various artists such as Keita Ito, kelly Churko,
Dairo Suga.
In the solo、He brings the Acorstic sound close to the electronic sound,
and performs based on it.
