Like DANCING? Come join us for a night of Brazilian Forró and other Latin rhythms (samba, salsa, merengue, ...)!

Don't know how to do it? We'll teach a beginners forró lesson from 10:30 to get first-comers started.

Forró (pronounced “for hó”) is an accordion-based latin dance developed by working class folk in the dry dusty northeast of Brazil. Provocative, yet easy to learn! Despite regional origins, Forró is experiencing a rise in popularity throughout Brazil with a growing number of variations. Outside Brazil many folks have not yet heard of this great Brazilian tradition.

Just like forró itself, this is all very simple and informal. No great bands or famous DJs this time. Let's get together to enjoy good music, dancing, and company.

Dancing starts at 10:30. No cover charge!
