Why? Because we are having our Dress Rehearsal for Eisteddfod... the Folk Festival in Wales.
So Early? Yes because Luis is off to the UK next Saturday and the rest of us will be following him in early July.
Where? In the Grand Hall of my high school TOHO Gakuen in Shinjuku.
What Time? Starting at 7:30 and finishing at 10pm.
How Much? It is absolutely FREE.... Yes some things are Free in Tokyo after all.
Any Food & Drink? I'm afraid we are no longer allowed to provide but feel free to bring your own.
What Station and Line? Nishi-Shinjuku-Go-Chome on the Oedo Line.... one station after Tocho-Mae.
Easy to Find? Yes... Turn left out of Exit A2, walk 20 metres and the High School is on your left .... up some wooden steps and through automated glass doors on the left.
What Floor? Take the lift/elevator up to the 7th Floor... and you have arrived!
Costumes? Only 4 different costumes... which means 5 changes... Fabulous! :>
How many dances? We shall be doing 4 sets of 2 dances ... which makes 8 in all!
All from Argentina? Yes ... one from the Southern region (the Rich set).... one from the Northern region (the Gauchos) .... one from the Mountains (the country bumpkins) ... and finally a Modern Style choreographed dance where a Dancer is in search of the Devil in order to make a pact... his Soul for the chance to become the Great dancer of his Dreams. Bring your tissues coz it might have a sad ending! If you came to the last show you may remember Luis was a Devil... well this time he is the Dancer who is prepared to sell his Soul to the Devil played by Tomoko .... or is He?!?! Come and Find Out! Post Script: I will be a Dancing Tree! :)
Only Folklore Music? Good Gracias No! In between the shows we shall of course be having some Tango... and due to popular demand some British 80's... and to top it off some Buddha Bar.
What should I wear? Whatever you feel comfortable in. Even though we shall be dressing up.... you needn't feel you also need to do so... although you are more than welcome to do so as well. I mean how often to you get to mix with Southern Snobs and Gorgeous Gauchos all in the same night? Oh and don't forget your dancing shoes... just in case you get the urge to get up and boogie!
Can I bring a Mate? Most Definitely! In fact the more the merrier.... because if we don't have an audience then it will not feel like the real thing which is the whole point of having a Dress Rehearsal. Although having said that I do hope that we shall be ready by then. If not I am sure you chaps will still applaud.... well I hope so anyway ... even if you think it is ghastly... PLEASE!!!
