Art Plus Dance 2005 Performance
Sunday 20 March, 7.30pm - 11pm

Art and dance meet as the Whitechapel launches a new annual event that promises
to be an unrivalled highlight of the arts calendar, celebrating the flashpoints
between art and other cultural forms.

An evening of live dance showcasing award-winning performances choreographed by
Rafael Bonachela, winner of The Place Prize and Associate Choreographer of
Rambert Dance Company.

Acclaimed production designer Michael Howells will transform the Whitechapel
into a glittering world of art and dance, featuring screenings of glamorous
montage of iconic dance sequences.

The Whitechapel's Director, Iwona Blazwick, Art Plus Dance Party Chair, Mollie
Dent-Brocklehurst and Co-Chair Mario Testino, along with the Art Plus Dance
Party committee of leading figures from the arts, architecture, dance, design,
fashion and music, invite guests to an evening of live dance, film and music to
raise funds for the Whitechapel's exhibition and education programmes.

Martin Creed, 2001 Turner Prize winner and currently performing at the Armory
Show, New York has agreed to perform with his three-piece band.
