The Toastmasters International’s Japan District (District 76) is now holding 2008 Fall Speech Contests in many places all over Japan. This time, we will have contests of table topic speech, or impromptu/extemporaneous speeches. Each toastmaster at each club and representatives of each club, area, and division are and will be competing for a higher level contest. I listed information of contests in Kanagawa Prefecture. Why don’t you come and see contests. You will be able to learn how to improve your English or even Japanese public speech skills and leadership by observing contestants and you will find many enthusiastic friends. You may be asked to pay JPY 500 to 1,000 admission fee at the gate. Advance reservation will be welcome, but usually you can join without reservation. Please make sure that you will be at the venue well before a contest begins, because once a contestant starts his/her speech, the door will be closed. Also, I encourage you to come to Den-en Toshi Toastmasters Club, of which I am a member. Please check the date and venue at the URL below: http://home.m04.itscom.net/speech/index.htm
