☆Satyananda Das （ショッタノンド・ダス）：
歌、踊り、ektara（エクタラ）、duggi（ドゥギ）、 ghungur（グングル）、
anandalahari（アノンドロホリ）、dotara（ドータラ）、khonjori（コンジョリ）
インド西ベンガル州バンクラ県出身。
ユネスコの「人類の口承および無形遺産の傑作」にも宣言された、
ベンガル地方の伝統音楽、「バウルの歌」の歌い手。
幼い頃よりサドゥー（修行者）の道に入り、
アシュラムでの厳しい修行を積みながら育つ。
Sri Bhuban Mohan Das（ブボン・モホン・ダス氏）、
Sri Krishna Das（クリシュノ・ダス氏）、
Maa Radharani Goswami（ラダラニ・ゴスワミ・マー）、
Sri Haripada Goswami（ホリポド・ゴスワミ氏）など、
生涯を通じて多くのグル（導師）に師事して培ったバウルの音楽を供に、
インド全域の聖地を巡礼する。
多数の偉大な先人の詩や、自作の詩を、
伝統に基づく多彩な独自のメロディーで歌い発表するなど、
作曲家としても定評がある。
神秘的で深淵なバウルの哲学の持つ豊かな精神世界を表現する、
そのメロディアスで広い音域を持つ歌声は、「魂の歌声」とも評され、
ダイナミックでかつ繊細な踊りとともに多くの人々を魅了し、
インド国内のみならず海外にも根強いファンを持つ。

2003年、Festival of Sacred Music-聖なる音楽祭-（ドイツ、ベルリン）、
2007、2008年、Mime Festival（韓国、春川）、

2009年、奄美皆既日食音楽祭 ECLIPSE 2009/Total soler eclipse music festival in Amami、
はこだて国際民俗芸術祭 Would Music and Dance Festival in Hakodate、
など、海外公演歴も多数。
2008年には、パキスタンのドーリーとも共演し、
旅するプロデューサーこと久保田真琴氏録音による、そのライブ音源は、
NHK FMでもオンエアされるなど、話題を呼んだ。

福井県出身。2003年1月より渡印。
バウルの音楽とその哲学に魅せられて、そのままインドに在住。
2004年にショッタノンド・ダスと結婚し、インド西ベンガル州バンクラ県にある
ノバーション・アシュラムにてホリポド・ゴスワミ氏に師事。
♪音楽的には歌中心ですが、
エクタラ（一弦琴）、ドゥギ（小さな太鼓）、グングル（足につける鈴）、
コロタール（小さいシンバル）、
アノンドロホリ（小型の太鼓に弦を貼りはじくバウル特有の楽器）、
ドータラ（４〜５弦の小型の三味線系弦楽器）、
コンジョリ（タンバリンのような太鼓）、
などの演奏と、踊りもあります。
●バウルとは・・・
現在のインド東部とバングラデシュ地方にまたがるベンガル地方には、
ヒンドゥ教、イスラム教、仏教の影響を受けつつも、
それらには属さず、町や村を転々として、歌い、踊ることを修行とする人たちがいます。
彼らが大事にするのは、神が住む場所としての人体。
バウルは音楽や詩だけでなく、
こうした既成の習慣からの脱却という点においても賞賛を受けています。
☆Satyananda Das & Hori dasi ( Radharani sampraday, Group Anandalahari )
Satyananda Das is one of the most prominent baul singer of Bengal, as well as India .
He is presently a resident of village Nabasan in Bankura district of West Bengal in Eastern India.
For quite sometime around, he has captivated august audiences by his rich bass voice and dulcet
tunes and has caused ripples in the world of imaginative music.
His initiator guru (dikshya guru) had been Sri Bhagaban Das and his spiritual teacher (sikshya guru, sannyas guru) had been Sri Krishna Das. Right from childhood, he had taken up the path of austere endeavour. He had many gurus of music also.
His primary guru of baul music had been Sri Bhuban mohan Das. He had groomed up by foster
mother Radharani Goswami.
He has been absorbed in searching for the universal soul (paramatma) with his partner Hori dasi.
Their "Chaitania mantra" guru is Sri Haripada Goswami, who is a centenarian mentor and a perfect preceptor towards the "sadhana". With the help of appropriate guru, has Satyananda & Horidasi
been able to carry on their successful strides.
The colourful cultural heritage of these immortal Bengali Baul songs date back hundreds of years
into history. The singular objective of such arduous endeavour is to realise one's own self, (through the preaching of a perfect guru), to visualise the human body as a sacred shrine. It is only then that knowledge of the universe infiltrates into the heart.
Satyananda Das had traveled across the length and breadth of India with his music as his endeavor. He had performed before thousands of audiences in England (WOMAD Festival) and other
European countries in 1997 and 1999. In Germany (Festival of Sacred Music) he won the hearts of millions on his visit there in 2003. He was visited to Japan in 2004,2007,2008, to South Korea in
2007,2008. Satyananda Das has mesmerized the world audience with his deep melodious voice and kept the rich tradition of Bengali Baul music alive.
