Hi All! If you are interested in meeting other Nikkeis from South America, please consider coming to this conference in Argentina. It's for ages 18-35. I've been attending several Latin American youth conferences since the mid 90s and let me tell you IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD! Ideally, they want youth reps from different Nikkei organizations at this event, but anyone interested can come I went to a meeting held tonight of the coordinators and they are a fun and enthusiastic bunch. Many from Brazil and Peru tend to gather at these forums, but they really stressed they would like to see more participants from USA and CANADA. Please pass this along to Nikkei community leaders who may be interested.
BTW, Argentina is a great place to visit NOW since the peso devalued few years back. Most things are 1/3 of the costs of USA.
