Closer once again returns as London’s leading underground purveyor of all great things techno. Past events have been nothing short of incredible with eye watering line-ups that have included so far Luke Slater, Kevin Saunderson, Ben Sims, Speedy J amongst many others, supported by our inspiring resident Steve Strawberry (Tilteddisco) and we take this opportunity to welcome aboard new resident Tomoki Tamura (Holic).
For this event we have 2 leading headline artists making their debut at Closer the very much talked about LEN FAKI and GLIMPSE LIVE.
LEN FAKI (GERMANY)
Len Faki moved to Berlin in 2003, he already looked back to years of fruitful productivity and the management of two highly acclaimed Techno labels: Monoid and Feis. His move to Berlin marked a turning-point in his career. With his new labels Len Series & Podium he founded a platform and trademark for his idea of Techno music. His strong appearances at Ostgut (Berlin) culminated in his residency at Berghain, a position which further fueled his open-minded approach as both DJ and producer. Dj sets and live performances at all the biggest techno events and festival across the globe have now firmly cemented Len Faki as one of the most exciting techno artists in the world.
GLIMPSE (UK)
The end of 2008 / start of 2009 will see Glimpse add two landmark releases to what has already been a career of note.First to arrive is the 'Drifting’ EP on Carl Craig's Planet E Label, which is then followed by an EP on Glimpse Recordings, collaboration with Compost's Jay Shepheard, entitled 'The Lions Share EP.' which features the vocals of Ali Love. As we continue into 2009 he will also completing the composition of his debut studio album 'Runner' on Four:Twenty Records which is due to arrive in late spring/early summer. His powerful live show, already familiar to many of the world's finest venues will hit North & South America, Japan and Europe in support of the album.
