TOKYO BALEARIC starts off the New Year of 2008, with its 4th episode, this saturday, Jan. 19th@liquid loft. We are ready to rock on withcha all! To celebrate the New Years! For this 4th episode of TOKYO BALEARIC, for our 1st guest performer, we have invited a new trance producer, EARTH who just successfully performed live at the end of this year, at Hamamatsu's Planet Cafe's 12th year Anniversary Party, along with chef marbo.
EARTH, a young 23 year old producer, who by chance, hooked up with chef marbo on myspace late last year, was inspired by chef marbo and his weekly radio show streamed on the lowrider website as well as TOKYO BALEARIC's new progressive sound and decided to produced music, like what he heard. EARTH's music maybe the first producer to be inspired by TOKYO BALEARIC, and produce a genuine TOKYO BALEARIC tailored, a full of blackness, fat'n funky domestic, balearic sound which chef marbo reckons, it reminds him of when he first heard, New Order's classic Blue Monday. I found totally amazing! It reminds me of the legendary story where when chef marbo used to dj with DJ Harvey while holding the now legendary party, Moist @the Gardening Club in London in the early 90s, their original DJing style inspired many of the now famous UK house producers such as Idjut Boys, Rub'n Tug, Faze Action amongst others to produce new cutting edge house music from the UK, later called dub house. chef marbo with his cutting edge, progressive ideas, as ever, inspires all!
EARTH's first live performance in Tokyo is not to be missed along with TOKYO BALEARIC's 4th episode!
