Aburanaburi as primitive free blues is just that.
The crying or sometimes screaming, though always
lamenting tenor saxaphone of Satoru Kawasaki lays
smoothly over the constant yet chaotic rhythm
of long-time collaborator Ebichan. The band has
gone through several permutations. This time the
'primitive' tag will be most appropriate as they
perform in a duo.
The Guva is kind of the unknown quantitiy here.
They are traveling with Aburanaburi on a short tour of
central to eastern Japan. The best description I can think
of for this up and coming Osaka unit is a mixture of
D.C.'s hard-core/reggae legend, Bad Brains and the 80's
spaz-core of the Kansai group The Boredoms. There is an
overall reggae vibe to the surface, but a punk core.
Well, reggae WAS punk in 1960's Jamaica. Their Kansai roots
show through in absurd humor and gratuitous nudity.
Mr. Busaichedelic san comes out of hibernation for
it's first live gig in nearly two years as simply,
Busaichedelic Mountain. Mr.G has gone off to
Kuala Lampur to chase down his dreams of Hindustani
guitar styles, while Mr.S has been left behind to
carry the torch while adding his own flavor
of classic rock and jazz guitar to the south Asian sound
becoming more and more prominent as the band briefly
retired from touring to become a studio band.
The group gained its fame by daring to show up
with a different line-up to every gig.
This will be no exception as Mr.S brings back
Mr.I on tabla and introduces multi-percussionist,
Mr.V to the Busaichedelic family.
A special surprise guest may also appear.
