About the BBQ... Anytime between the 3rd and 9th of February is fine for me. If you have a preference, please let me know. I'll send out an official notice by the 28th.
I'm writing to you today to invite you to a BBQ party at my place in the country-side. The barbeque will begin at 12:00 noon, on Sunday, February 3rd, and continue until everyone is full. I will prepare a veggie soup, and will have lots of meat and veggies for the grill, too. If you would like to bring something for the grill, feel free to do so.
There will be a music session in the afternoon in my studio. If any of you play a musical instrument, there will be opportunities to play/sing for everyone. I have a couple guitars, a keyboard, and some percussion instruments, but feel free to bring your own instrument.
RSVP: Please let me know if you will attend (it will help me when getting supplies). If you would like to bring a guest, that's alright--just let me know.
My address is: Nagae 550, Hayama-cho. The best way to get here is either by Yokosuka-sen (to Zushi) or Keikyu-sen (to Shin-Zushi)--Hayama doesn't have a train station! Once you arrive, it is a short walk or bus ride to my house. (below are maps to show you where my house is).
Bus Directions: From Zushi Station (Hayama and Beaches exit)—go to bus stop #2, and take any bus from there. Get off the bus at Nagae-Kosaten (the third stop). From Shin-Zushi Station, take the south exit, go to the second bus stop, and take any bus going to Nagae-Kosaten (the 2nd stop).
My house is about a 3 minute walk from Nagae-Kosaten.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon! Let’s hope for warm, sunny skies!
Jay
About the BBQ party... it seems like Sunday the 3rd is a bad day for most people. If it is better, we can change the day. I would like to get as many people as possible to join in on the grilling! On the music!
Anytime from the 4th to the 7th (Mon-Thu) are okay for me. What about you?
As our class always met on Thursdays, I would suggest the 7th--a Thursday! BUT, don't let my opinion bias you! It could be any Thursday in February. ; - )
The snow is INTENSE! I've shoveled once already, but it's back again!
I worry about your safety in getting to Hayama.
The reasonable thing to do is save the BBQ for another day. Even though Hayama in the snow is beautiful, it is much better with sunny, blue, warm skies.
I'll put the food on ice and save it for next time.
Please discuss an alternative day amongst yourselves and let me know. My schedule for February is pretty flexible.
How are you? I'm fine, but it's snowing in 葉山 again tonight! Ahhh!!!
About the next BBQ event.... how about Tuesday February 12th? If any of you are available, let me know. If any of your friends would like to attend, that's okay too.
