先週末、ヨーロッパツアー後に来沖し那覇でPLAYした
『JUZU a.k.a MOOCHY』がコザでもPLAYします。
どす黒いベース、トライバルなビート、ぶっ飛んだダブワイズ、
洗練されたジャズネス、愛ある唄、ハードコアな精神、
全てが一つのグルーヴに集約される彼の音楽は必聴です。

東京出身。10代からバンドとＤＪ両方の音楽活動を並行して始める。19才の時に結成したバンド Evilpowersmeの楽曲は、メタリカのジャケット等を手懸け、スケーターの中では著名なイラストレーター、パスヘッドのレーベルからリリースされ、海外でも紹介される。DJとしてはその同時期９０年代初頭、今や伝説化したパーティRhythm Freaks (3DJ＋2MC＋サウンドシステムというセット)のオーガナイズ及びレジデントDJとして一世を風靡する。その頃出廻ったMixテープはクラバーやDJ のみならずミュージシャンやジャーナリストからも大きな反響を呼び、その流れからBoredoms等のリミックスを行う事となる。
その後は、巨大なレイブからアンダーグランドなパーティまで 〜 Fuji Rock Festival、Equinox、Life Force等で活躍。海外ではNY、SF,オーストラリア、オーストリア、クロアチア、インド,ハワイ等でDJを行う。
90年代の終わりから打ち込みでのトラック・メイクを始め、音源をSound-Channel等様々なレーベルからリリースする。
その一方で楽器演奏をメインとしたバンドNXSのリーダーとしても活動を展開、その楽曲は海外でも評判を呼ぶ。
またインドネシア、アフリカ、ブラジルなどの旅からインスパイアされ、民族音楽と電子音楽の融合を模索。その影響もあり自らの文化的ルーツを探求する為２００３年から福岡に移住。
その年キューバに単身乗り込み録音。２００５年にはアレンジ、ミックスをすべて独りでこなしたアルバム"Momentos"がOverheatからリリース、２００７年７月に ハワイ、ベトナム等で録音されたRe-Momentos Introduction をリリース、２００８年２月には"Memories"をリリース,そして本年２００９年には Re:Momentos シリーズ完結編 Movement がリリースされる。

At a early age JAKAM / Juzu a.k.a. Moochy starts playing bass, taking parts in various bands
Then started to DJ at around the age of 15 have having to do gigs all week and weekends for more than 13 years,
his taste and genre in music grew more and more, from Drum&Bass, Techno, Hip Hop, Reggae, Jazz to Rock
he has a boundless range of music in his books.
Apart from his DJing JAKAM is also known as the leader of the band NXS.
Which was formed from a group of artists based in Japan
The sound of NXS have been fluctuating ever since it was formed in 1999
His sense to music have moved him all aver the world recording music from Vietnam, Hawaii, Cuba,Trinidad&Tobaco
and Japan combining the traditional sound with the ambient it creates a new genre in music.
He has extended fans on both sides of the decks, listeners and artists. both alike admire his work.
From contemporary, roots to new age, the stile is unique and adventures to us whom listen and imagine
the the sound and space JAKAM creates.
