Calgary Humane Society is calling on all caring Calgarians to help find homes for more than 400 cats and kittens currently under the care of Calgary Humane. In recent weeks CHS has seen a huge influx of cats and their kittens which is stretching space limitations to the max. “For the first time in our 88 year history, we are waiving our cat and kitten adoption fees, and asking for donations to cover the cost of care,” says Patricia Cameron, Executive Director of the Calgary Humane Society. “During this high season it is our hope that in providing this special adoption offer, CHS can save more lives and connect more lives.” If you or anyone you know has thought of either adopting or fostering a cat, now is the time; CHS is counting on open hearts and homes to make this possible. Can’t adopt but would like to help our fantastic felines? CHS will be hosting a BBQ this Saturday, June 12, in support of Cat Adoption Month. Come on down to the Calgary Humane Society and for a $5 donation get a burger from Community Natural Foods and a drink. Also, the shelter kitties “thank-mew” for donations of toys and treats!
