Q. Sakamaki's book launch and slideshow for "Tompkins Square Park" will be held Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the PowerHouse Arena, 37 Main Street in Brooklyn, NY.

The book chronicles the East Village park in the late 80s -- with its tension between homeless and the police -- before gentrification started lapping at the park's edges. Now the only tension you'll find is between small and big dog owners at the dog run!
