全員 Zenin on Tour presents 'The Kurume to Kumamoto Krazy K Party' Saturday 23rd May @ Grace Air in Kumamoto 10pm - late Featuring Zenin residents Das Funkt & Imamu Plus Kumamoto's Irfan & Nobu
Kurume's monthly dance party hits Kumamoto for one night only!
全員 [Zenin] was created to provide a place where like minded people could get together to enjoy quality dance music and have fun. Central to the party's identity, as the name suggests, is the inclusion of everyone: Natives & Foreigners, Young & Old, Big & Small, The Freak Clique & The Chic Clique, as long as you like to party you're welcome in our house.
To add a little bit of silliness the Zenin parties often involve fancy dress with past themes including: 'Sunglasses At Night,' 'Dead Famous - The Halloween Special,' 'Hats & 'Tache' and 'Viva La Rave.'
For this special 'Zenin on Tour' party we have taking inspiration from the Kurume - Kumamoto connection and are hosting a 'Krazy K' party which invites you to come along as anything beginning with the letter 'K'. So we are expecting to see a couple of Karate Kids, a few Knights in Armour, maybe the odd Koala and I'm sure many of you in Kimono. Use your imagination there's lots of possibilities and prizes will be awarded for the best costume efforts!
Providing the music will be resident DJ and your host for the evening Das Funkt. Originally from London, Das made the move over to Japan just over a year ago and has been slowly gaining a reputation as a firm favourite on the Fukuoka club scene. His first gig in Japan was warming up for Derrick May at Air in Fukuoka and he has recently been made resident at the bi-monthly 'Athed' party held at Tsuti. Before arriving in Fukuoka, Das was co-running the 'Kind of Fun' parties which gained something of a cult following amongst 'in the know' Londoners. It was during his involvement with 'Kind of Fun,' where he would play at every different stage of the night, that he developed his skill to entertain differing crowds and cater his music for various tastes. Hugely diverse he reaches primarily into the genres of house, techno and electro whilst keeping the music focused firmly on the dance floor. Alway s physical behind the decks with a huge smile on his face Das is the kind of DJ who likes to party with crowd whilst keeping a close watch to ensure the music he plays is tailored for their enjoyment.
The Kumamoto connection of the party will be offered in the form of our two guest DJs for the evening, Irfan and Nobu. [profiles to be supplied]
Plus Zenin resident and co-host Imamu will be in attendance with his genre hopping antics and dancefloor friendly fire ups. [profile to be supplied]

Hailing from Pakistan via Canada, Insaan's been in Kumamoto for just under
two years now. His d
・but gig was the crazily crowded Halloween 2008 party at Jeff's World Bar,
where he and Kumamoto DJ Kiva had the packed dancefloor shaking and
bouncing into the twilight hours. Insaan is a relatively new face on the scene,
but his lack of experience is more than balanced out with his energy and
taste in music: everything from rock to hip-hop to afrobeat to soul to electro
and anything and everything in between! So whatever your personal tastes
he's sure to throw down something to get you moving on the dancefloor.
His genre hopping antics and dancefloor friendly fire ups make Imamu a
favourite of the Zenin regulars. After his hugely well received set at the
Christmas party he was then asked at the beginning of the year to join the
Zenin crew as a resident and help rock Kurume on a monthly basis. Currently
residing in Kumamoto, Imamu is sure to play a big part in this stage of the
Zenin tour.
