Since the untimely close of its former home Mixrooffice (cry cry!) 'Revenge of Minimalist' has been taking a short rest grieving the crushing loss. Gui's arrival in Tokyo from Singapore on his way through to Australia as part of his Asia & Australasia tour & his setting 400 people at Colors on fire last Saturday is just the spark we needed to set things back in motion. For one short evening we present you the massive selling Kompakt artist GUI BORATTO of 'Chromophobia' (his album of 2006) & 'Archipelago' (his biggest hit to date & a just mind-blowing record supported by big names around the world) fame. 1974年ブラジルはサンパウロで生まれる。建築家の顔も持つGui Borattoは自身のキャリアを広告業界で1993年にスタート。1994年から2004年までにEMI, Virgin, BMGなど多くの会社の仕事を手がけた。またGui BorattoはブラジルなインディレーベルであるMegamusicのA&R兼共同オーナーでもある。2005年から自分自身の楽曲製作に従事するようになり、Plastic City, Kompakt, Audiomatiqueなど多くのレーベルから楽曲をリリースしており、彼の手がけた曲やremixはMichael Mayer, Tiefshwarz, Steve Bug, Phonique, Martin Landsky, Hernan Cattaneoなど多くのアーティストのチャートやプレイリストに名を連ねる。名声は一段と高まっており、ブラジルのハウス、テクノ、ミニマルシーンを語るときに外せない存在となっている。
