Want to go abroad?

Wendy Shapiro, who has recently returned from working as a Peace
Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, will be joining us on campus. She is
interested in prospective students who would be interested in a new month-long
summer program in Ukraine, called International Outreach Camp 2006 (IOC
2006).
This IOC 2006, brings together students from Ukraine, Europe,
and the United States for a series of three one-week camps from July
4-31st. in Ukraine. Curricula will focus on civic leadership, public
speaking and problem solving and will include UN, European Parliament and
Creative Solution themes. IOC 2006 creates a microsom of a global
community, promoting diplomacy through in-depth cultural exchange.
IOC 2006 is partnered with the United States Peace Corps in
Ukraine and educational institutions and NGOs throughout Ukraine.
Participants will have a chance to discuss world development issues important
to young people everywhere and begin planning the way they can help
resolve those issues. If you would like to get more information on this
