A few days ago you received notice of the upcoming reunion in Geneva for Mr. Gale's retirement (June 28, at 6:30PM).
As a student leader at CDL, I spent many hours in Mr. Gale's office. In that time, not a week went by without Mr. Gale receiving a wedding invitation, a greeting, a phone call, or a visit from alumni across the world.
Every single time he heard from a former student, Mr. Gale's face lit up, he headed straight for his yearbooks to show me pictures, and then launched into a long story about each person - "XYZ was the best belly dancer I've ever seen at International Day!", or "so and so had a great sense of humor, but he was always in trouble!", or "She had a hard time in Math, but what an amazing basket ball player!"...
In fourty five years at Collège du Léman, Mr. Gale has taught and made a difference in the lives of thousands of students.
I know that he will really appreciate hearing from you on the occasion of his retirement, either by seeing you in person at the reunion, or by reading the messages we are gathering in a printed memory book.
Registrations for the reunion end on Sunday night.
Thirty people have already registered within the last two days, we hope to more than double, or even triple this number by the end of the week.
