I'm married, live in Hiyoshi and have previously lived in aobadai and chigusadai (near fujigaoka - sorry my spelling may be bad there). I've been in japan for 5 years now.
I am really looking forward to teaching you guys. My classes will be in the same style as your lily's, but i don't have a laptop so i won't be able to do listening exercises so much. However i will try and bring my CD player if i can find suitable listening tracks.
I have some basic rules though
1) speak as much as you can - i want to hear your voices, not mine (well not much anyway!)
2) if i say a word/sentence you don't understand please interupt me and tell me - again i want to hear your voices, not mine!
3) if you have a topic you would like to talk about then send it to my mixi account or my email: lrosegaijin@gmail.com
4) if you wish to mail me or post on my mixi site please do it in english or hiragana/katakana as i can't read kanji....! ごめんね! Then again maybe my wife can translate it.
5) i want to maintain the levels of fun that you had with lily so feel free to tell me how to improve - my main job is with gaba and i am used to criticism - no one is perfect!
Otherwise i really look forward to teaching you, sharing with you and being taught by you - yes it is possible for a teacher to learn.

Gaba is the name of a language school. Have you ever seen an ad on the trains, the green one? There is one branch in Aobadai, too. So, Lucas is a professional teacher at Gaba.
Hi Lucas,
Your basic classroom rules looks interesting! Don't worry. There will be no silence in the classroom. We cannot stop speaking English
Thank you for your information, Emi-san.
I'm ashamed on myself that I am out of common sense!
Now I get to know that Lucas wrote:
>I think it means Girls be Adventurous, Boys be Audacious, but i'm not sure.
I AM Audacious!! (This is also first time for me to meet the word "audacious".)
Lucas and members, I am looking forward to see you at class!
Moo san - it seems kinda weird to call someone Moo - i used to work on a cattle farm when i was a kid - when i said main job i meant that gaba is the place where i work the most (i have 2 jobs). Sometimes i wish i was back at the cattle farm... but i love teaching people and learning from people.
Ok moo-san i feel better about calling you moo-san!
And to answer your question a bit better, i work at gaba 5 days a week but i also teach in an elementary (about 5-7 days a month) so my main job is gaba, but i work part time in an elementary school.
Lucas,
Thank you for your particular information about your job.
We are so lucky to meet experienced texture like you!
I am really looking forward to having the enjoyable class with you.
Lucas, I am sorry but I didn't write this word "texture".
It was "teacher".
I think it was changed when I tried web spelling check.
And I didn't notice it had been changed!
Do you have any meaning of "experienced texture "?
Hi all, i'm not sure how many of you can come on sunday but i'm looking forward to it!
One other rule is that if you are going to post in japanese please also post in english so i can read it and also so that the other students may learn from it.
まきんこ is the culprit here... (i hope i got the hiragana right there maki...)
I honestly do not want them to feel obligated here.
So please have them write however they want. And especially this is class schedule information thread anyway.
If you want to have one for english discussion, please create another thread for it.
