Hi Everyone,
Since all the dates we are contemplating are around Valentines Day the theme of the gathering will be:
"LOVE".
Don't worry- we won't be getting personal. I have an interesting article we will read and hopefully will arouse interesting discussions. Plus, we will be learning the words and singing an upbeat, fun Nat King Cole song (don't worry not too romantic- it is actually really cute and I often sing it my children).
Lily,
The topic sounds fun! Since the #1 is set on the 27th this month, I would like to set #2 on the 17th. Of course it is changeable.
What do you think?
Hi everyone!
The theme of February (especially "sing a song" parts) sounds exciting,
so I'm so sorry to say I can't make it.
Please enjoy yourselves and report afterward!
I hope I can join you in March.
Hi everyone,
Thank-you for the positive response to the last event. Oh its too bad that many can't attend the next event.
Moo San, Tomo and Makiko- we will miss you.
I am excited to see everyone else on the 17th.
Sending Smiles,
Lily
I just wanted to send a big apology- I think I confused everyone regarding the price of this weekends event. The same time I was thinking about your event I was also putting together ideas for a playgroup. In the playgroup (NO DATE DECIDED YET) I was planning to organize many activities including making a tambourine. Because of the cost of craft material, drinks for parent and child and the amount of planning to do a PLAYGROUP I asked for the event to be 2000yen. This playgroup is completely separate from your monthly event.
I promise you that our event will continue to be 1500yen.
Really, I am SO sorry for any misunderstanding and confusion I may have caused. I didn't notice the price until a few minutes ago and wanted to clear up the situation immediatly.
Cheers and wish I could see more of you out this weekend. If you think its best to postpone this event to another date please suggest when is good for you.
Sending out a "thank-you" to all the participants who came today. I met some wonderful new people , was so happy to see familiar faces and enjoyed your wonderful answers to the discussion questions. I do appreciate the patience shown towards my little monsters. I promised that I wouldn't be bringing them along in the future and can 100percent confirm that the next date May 16 I will be child-free (my husband has a meeting in Tokyo on the 17th so has no choice but to be here:)).
Warm regards...hope to meet again next month :),
Lily
Lily,
I of course enjoy the English class itself, but additionaly it's so exciting and interesting to exhange opinions on a specific subject, that seldom happens in our daily life in Japanese.
Today again there were variety of people from different backgrounds and talking about "love" was a lot of fun.
I'm really looking forward to the next theme, "health".
