★朋友ミュージシャン2名が辿り着いた、一生聴けるレゲエ・ダブミュージックの世界★ Dry & Heavyのヴォーカリストとして90年代より日本レゲエ・ダブシーンで活躍してきたシンガー・アオ、そしてダブミュージックを追求したダブ・ジャズバンドmossのリーダー＆ギタリスト、ダイハチ。この15年以上にものぼる付き合いの2名が、ミュージシャンとしてありとあらゆるキャリアを積み重ね、必然的に辿り着いたのが2007 年2月に結成されたマカファットである。その特徴は到ってシンプル。それは、2人が愛するジャマイカのルーツ・ロック・レゲエ／ダブを日本人としての解釈で消化し、それを新しい形で吐き出すというものだった。レゲエミュージックファンであり、ダブミュージックを追求する2人が織り成す、リアル・タイムなダブ・ミックス を武器にした臨場感溢れるスリリングなライヴは各方面で高く評価されており、ジャンルの垣根を飛び越えて日本全国各地のイベントにライヴ出演!!!!!!!!

About "maccafat": The new Reggae / Dub band unit from Japan named "maccafat" is composed by only two people as you can imagine from a word "unit" even though it is really a band. Although each one of them belong to their own band, AO (singer from "Dry & Heavy") & DAIHACHI (guitar player from "moss") had been friends for more than 15 years and they started this new band "maccafat" on February 2007. This maccafat's dubby sound, which is lively created by DAIHACHI as he plays guitar with other instrumentals, is well mixed with AO's vocals in the improvisation when they play at lives. Their Reggae / Dub music which is played by such a quite simple set is very positive, peaceful and also very creative, and this can be proven with 14 tracks in their sensational
debut album titled "maccafat"
